Monitor
Adding domains & IPs
Every monitored asset gets continuous blacklist coverage. Deliverability and sender reputation are configured per asset after it exists.
In SenderSignal, an asset is anything you send mail from or care about reputation for: a root domain, subdomain, or IP address. Assets live under Monitor in the sidebar.
Add a single asset
- Open Monitor and click Add asset.
- Enter the domain (e.g.
mail.example.com) or IP (e.g.203.0.113.10). - Optionally add a label and tags so your team can filter large lists later.
- Save. The asset appears in your monitor list with status Active when checks are running.
What happens immediately after you add an asset
SenderSignal does not wait for the next scheduled interval to protect you:
- A blacklist (DNSBL) scan is queued automatically for the new asset.
- Results populate the asset Overview and Blacklists tabs as vendors respond.
- If the asset was listed on any vendor in your plan tier, you will see it right away and can receive alerts if configured.
Deliverability and Google Postmaster are separate: they are not turned on automatically. See Deliverability checks and Sender reputation.
Asset types
| Type | Example | Blacklist checks | Deliverability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Domain | example.com | Domain + IP zones where applicable | MX, SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC probes |
| Subdomain | mail.example.com | Same as domain | Same as domain |
| IP address | 198.51.100.4 | IP-oriented DNSBL zones | Reverse DNS, SMTP, TLS, reputation dimensions |
Activate, pause, or remove
- Deactivate monitoring pauses scheduled blacklist checks but keeps history.
- Delete removes the asset and its monitoring data from your workspace (confirm carefully).
- Use Rescan on the asset header to force an immediate blacklist or deliverability scan when you have made DNS or infrastructure changes.
Many assets at once?
Use Bulk import to upload CSV, Excel, or plain-text lists. The importer detects domains, subdomains, and IPs, flags duplicates, and imports in the background.
