The Constant Contact playbook

Constant Contact sends the campaigns. Your domain still has to earn the inbox.

Constant Contact looks after the reputation of its shared sending infrastructure, but once you self-authenticate, the domain’s reputation is yours, and there is no tool in the account that warms it. Keep your campaigns exactly where they are. Add your brand domain here and we build its reputation while Constant Contact keeps sending.

The Constant Contact playbook

Keep sending from Constant Contact. Warm the domain here.

Step 1

Self-authenticate your domain in Constant Contact

Until you do, Constant Contact rewrites your From address to a shared ccsend.com address and your reputation is pooled with other customers. The CNAME option is the one Constant Contact recommends for most accounts; the TXT option suits several accounts sending from one domain. Either way you also publish a DMARC record.

Step 2

Know what Constant Contact handles, and what it does not

Mail goes out on Constant Contact’s shared infrastructure, and the vendor handles its IP reputation. Self-authenticating makes the domain’s reputation yours, and Constant Contact offers no ramp or schedule for building it.

Step 3

Add your brand domain to Inbox Boost

Use the domain in your From address, such as yourbrand.com. The records you added to self-authenticate stay with Constant Contact. We set up what the domain needs and build its sender reputation for you. Nothing to connect to Constant Contact: no API key, no app, no change to your account.

Step 4

Keep every campaign running in Constant Contact

Newsletters, event invitations, announcements: all of it stays in Constant Contact. Mailbox providers score the domain in your From address, so the reputation built here counts for every Constant Contact send from yourbrand.com.

Step 5

Check where Constant Contact mail lands

Inbox placement tests show whether your campaigns reach Primary, Promotions or Spam across the major mailbox providers, and blacklist monitoring keeps watching the domain once it is warm.

  • Nothing to connect: no Constant Contact API key, app or integration
  • Nothing to change: lists, templates and schedules stay exactly as they are
  • Built for shared IPs: the IPs are shared, so the domain is the reputation that is yours
  • Watched after warmup: blacklist and authentication monitoring on your brand domain

Questions

Constant Contact questions, answered.

Does Inbox Boost connect to my Constant Contact account?
No. There is no API key, app or integration to install. Inbox Boost works on your brand domain, and Constant Contact keeps sending your campaigns exactly as it does now.
Constant Contact looks after its IPs. Why warm the domain?
Constant Contact handles the reputation of its shared sending infrastructure. Once you self-authenticate, your domain carries its own reputation with Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo, and that reputation is yours to build. Constant Contact offers no tool to warm it.
Can I get a dedicated IP instead?
Constant Contact does not document a dedicated IP option. Its own staff point senders to self-authentication instead, explaining that a dedicated IP goes cold without very high daily volume. On shared IPs, the domain is the reputation that is actually yours, which is why building it matters.
Do I need to self-authenticate in Constant Contact first?
Yes. Without it, your From address is rewritten to a shared ccsend.com address, so the reputation your mail earns is pooled rather than tied to your brand. Self-authenticate the domain in Constant Contact, then add your brand domain, the one in your From address, here.
Can I see whether it is working?
Yes. Inbox placement tests show where your Constant Contact mail lands, Primary, Promotions or Spam, across the major mailbox providers, and blacklist monitoring keeps watching the domain afterwards.
