The Keap playbook

Keap sends the broadcasts. Your domain still has to earn the inbox.

Keap requires DKIM on the domains you send from and polices its shared IPs with an Acceptable Use Policy. Its help content describes no warmup for a new domain, though, so that domain starts with no history. Keep your broadcasts and automations exactly where they are. Add the domain here and we build its reputation while Keap keeps sending.

The Keap playbook

Keep sending from Keap. Warm the domain here.

Step 1

Authenticate every From domain in Keap

Keap requires DKIM: copy its three CNAME records into your DNS, then add include:infusionmail.com to your existing SPF record rather than publishing a second one. A send from an unauthenticated domain goes out from your default fallback address if you set one, or it fails. Keap’s help now lives in the Thryv Learning Center.

Step 2

Know what Keap handles, and what it does not

Keap monitors senders on its shared IPs and enforces its Acceptable Use Policy, and it expects spam complaints to stay below 0.1% per inbox provider. Warming a new domain is not part of it: Keap’s help content has no warmup feature or ramp.

Step 3

Add your brand domain to Inbox Boost

Use the domain in your From address, yourbrand.com. The DKIM CNAMEs Keap has you add stay with Keap. We set up what it needs and build its sender reputation. Nothing to connect to Keap: no API key, no app, no change to your account.

Step 4

Keep every broadcast and automation running in Keap

Broadcasts, nurture sequences, automated follow-ups: all of it stays in Keap. Mailbox providers score the domain in your From address, so the reputation built here counts for every Keap send from yourbrand.com.

Step 5

Check where Keap mail lands

Inbox placement tests show whether your broadcasts reach Primary, Promotions or Spam across the major mailbox providers, and blacklist monitoring keeps watching the domain once it is warm.

  • Nothing to connect: no Keap API key, app or integration
  • Nothing to change: broadcasts, automations and templates stay exactly as they are
  • On shared IPs: the domain is the reputation that is actually yours
  • Watched after warmup: blacklist and authentication monitoring on your brand domain

Questions

Keap questions, answered.

Does Inbox Boost connect to my Keap account?
No. There is no API key, app or integration to install. Inbox Boost works on your brand domain, and Keap keeps sending your broadcasts and automations exactly as it does now.
Keap already requires DKIM. Why warm the domain too?
DKIM proves the mail really comes from your domain; it does not give the domain a history. Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo judge a domain by how its mail has been received, and a newly authenticated domain has none. Keap’s help content describes no warmup for it, so that is the part we build.
Keap sends from shared IPs. Does this still help?
Yes. Keap describes a shared IP as one a larger group of senders uses, pooling their reputation, so the domain is the reputation that is actually yours. Building it here helps every broadcast Keap sends from it.
What is Keap’s default fallback From address?
If a send would fail because its From domain is not authenticated, Keap reroutes it to one account-wide fallback address on an authenticated domain, if you have set one. Keap treats it as a backup, not a substitute: authenticate each domain you send from, then add your brand domain, the one in your From address, here.
Can I see whether it is working?
Yes. Inbox placement tests show where your Keap mail lands, Primary, Promotions or Spam, across the major mailbox providers, and blacklist monitoring keeps watching the domain afterwards.
